One-of-a-kind guitars.

  • 1995 USA Ovation EA68 Viper with rare Blue Tamo Ash Top

1995 USA Ovation EA68 Viper with Tamo Ash Top.

There were only a very few of these made in the USA with this custom blue finish and Tamo Ash top.

The EA-68 was built in the 90′s and popularized by such players as Glen Campbell and Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon.  It features a slim bowl for extra comfort. It also has a 3-way equalizer and volume control.

The guitar plays like an electric but the sound is all acoustic.   If you consider yourself an electric guitarist FIRST, and you play live, it’s a must have.  It has a Tamo ash (rare wood from Japan) top and has multi-binding on the neck and body. The oil rubbed v-profile neck is amazing with its ebony, and the 24 Jumbo frets is unique.

Interestingly enough, the string-thru design is not a plastic backed Ovation as many are…. It’s actually a solid slab of mahogany with carved out acoustic chambers. The back has the same black paint on it as the plastic bowls have.
